My background is tech — telecom systems, CRMs, software development. Insurance came into the picture in 2016, when my partner was working for a Fortune 500 insurance company and I got a front-row seat to how those teams actually spend their day. A surprising amount of it went to fighting their own tools instead of talking to people.
We tested the power dialers on the market, and every one told the same story: old, antiquated software that needed a stack of third-party apps bolted on just to function. A dialer here, a separate phone account there, a spreadsheet tracker, a transcription tool — and a pile of monthly fees that got outrageous the moment the team grew.
What struck me was that none of it was really an insurance problem. It was a telecom problem, a CRM problem, a software problem — the exact things I’d spent my career building.
